We’ve been to a few Anytime Fitness gyms in Malaysia and we can say that the equipment at different gyms are mostly similar. The gyms also organize daily classes led by fitness professionals which are free for members to join. Every gym also provides one-to-one coaching and body measurement services.

However, Anytime Fitness runs on a franchise model, meaning every branch may be managed by different teams, hence do expect varying quality of equipment, coaching services, hygiene, and service. There are branches with a chill vibe with the club manager/coaches, whereas there are gyms where the working crew would literally stare everyone down to make sure everything is in order.

On the good side, as compared to other gyms such as Celebrity Fitness, there’s no extra fee to visit a different gym so it’s a great option if you prefer multi gym access.

Overall, we’d recommend Anytime Fitness for its 24/7 convenience and variety of equipment. But do shop around, read Google reviews of individual branches to find the best one for you. If you end up signing up for a gym that you don’t like, you’re always free to explore a different branch!

Membership Fees

Note: Membership fees below are not representative of all Anytime Fitness gyms rather than an estimate, as the rates below were verified from a few branches only. Please confirm with your specific branch for the final price instead, as different branches may have slight difference in prices/ongoing discounts.

Anytime Fitness Malaysia membership fee starts from RM195 monthly on a 12-months contract. For a 6-month contract, the membership fee is RM205 monthly.

There is also a RM160 one-off registration fee for first timers, and RM199 for the keyfob that you’ll use to access the gyms. However, most gyms would waive the RM160 registration fee and call it a “discount”. So, your gym membership fee would likely be:

  • First month: RM195 (Monthly membership fee) + RM199 (Keyfob) = RM394
  • Second month onwards: RM195 monthly

How to get a cheaper fee

With the right timing, you may be able to get a cheaper membership fee. Here’s how:

Look out for seasonal discounts. Most Malaysian Anytime Fitness gyms are active on Instagram. For example:

The other way is to sign up for the pre-sale of a new branch that is opening soon. Typically, a new branch’s pre-sale would start 2 months before, and that’s when you’ll be able to snatch up prices as low as RM149 monthly. The downside is you’ll have to wait for a couple months before you get access to the gym! You can usually find new branches opening soon on their official website. For example:

  1. If im not mistaken, you will need to achieve certain quota (maybe at least 60-80% tap in with keyfob) at the branch you sign up if you are getting promo price

    1. Thanks for sharing Jeremy! My first time hearing this. Perhaps those who are looking at promo price can bring this up to make sure 🙂
