Introduction
Celebrity Fitness is a commercial gym that offers a wide array of workout options, including strength training, functional training, group classes, and personal training classes. It first originated in Jakarta, Indonesia then grew across Southeast Asia.
In 2017, Celebrity Fitness merged with Fitness First but they still operate the brands separately. That’s why Celebrity Fitness also offers a “dual brand membership” which you can read more about below.

Review
Personally we found that Celebrity Fitness is one of the gym brands whose quality and facilities can vary greatly depending on the branch. The flagship gyms such as 1 Utama and Sunway Pyramid are maintained in tip-top condition and are huge! Shoutout to Sunway Pyramid especially – plenty of spaces for free weights, functional training, group classes, and showers are clean and well maintained. They also put extra effort into taking care of their customers with complimentary towels upon entrance. Gyms such as Mid Valley and Main Place even have a pool.
Our advice is for you to make a personal visit to their branch instead of signing up online, and actually get a look and feel of the gym before making up your mind. Do also take note that to get access to more than one gym there is an extra price, which you can read more below.
Most Celebrity Fitness gyms are located in malls, as opposed to Anytime Fitness that have more accessible locations such as shop lots. This may be less convenient as travelling to popular malls can be time consuming and expensive in the long run. One upside though, unlike many gyms in Malaysia, there are no extra registration or administration fees upon sign-up that we’ve encountered. So you can proceed with just the monthly membership fee.
Overall, Celebrity Fitness is a good gym if you’re satisfied with your home gym, especially the flagship ones are great. However, if you would like to access more than one gym in Malaysia, other brands like Anytime Fitness may offer a better pricing for multi-gym access.
